Holiday shopping and year-end tips

12/2/2014 at 11:27 am by

Can you believe that it is already December? It feels like just a few weeks ago we were talking about Sage Summit (our July customer conference) and now here we are getting ready for the holidays!

Speaking of the holidays, I can’t remember having to do much shopping since I met my wife. You see, she does most of it because she’s much better at fighting large crowds (and that frees me up to do important things like watch sports, read Twitter, and engage in other highly productive activities). Plus she does a really great job keeping track of all the gifts for different people, while I would just procrastinate, go to one store to take care of everything, and end up spending WAY too much. Chalk this up as one more reason I really, REALLY lucked out when I met her!

gusAs an added bonus, she finds funny sweaters for Gus. So for the second year in a row, I’ve included a picture of Gus in his Christmas sweater. And yes, it isn’t the only Christmas sweater he has.

In case you’re wondering, no, I’m not in trouble for anything and just saying nice things about my wife so I can avoid Christmas shopping again this year . . . as far as you know, anyway! I was actually thinking about the parallels between holiday shopping and year end; just like my wife does a lot of the Christmas shopping for me, we’ve made it easier for you with the newly launched Year-End Center!

This year, we’ve got some really cool additions, including:

  • Checklists with the timing of tasks for different areas like AP and Payroll.
  • A snazzy new landing page that lets you initiate a chat session (with a real, live person!)
  • Articles to help you close your year out on a strong note, with minimal disruption.
  • Links to forums where you can ask questions of your peers or read existing discussions.

I know January isn’t far away, so do me a favor and check out the Year-End Center in Sage City. It will help you save time so you can focus more on your holiday shopping.
