Taking It All In Online

11/8/2012 at 8:33 am by

Hi folks. Plumb Bob here, live and direct from the Sage 100 Contractor Virtual Conference. And I gotta say, I haven’t learned this much in a long time. Take yesterday for example: I sat in on Jon Witty’s presentation about how our industry will use technology in the future. It was as if we had travelled forward in time.  I had to make sure I was wearing the same shirt!  Jon and Diane Haines also presented a three-year product roadmap for Sage 100 Contractor. It is quite a vision. Wish mine had been that good before my last haircut. This hard hat’s not just for safety, if you know what I mean.

Have you installed V18.1, but not gotten around to using its new features? I haven’t either, so yesterday I also attended the session on it so I am completely up to speed on all the enhancements and how to get the most out of them.

Of course, all work and no play makes Plumb Bob a dull cartoon so today I’ll also be taking some time to do a little online networking. There are 220 of us registered for the conference, and I bet at least a few of you are wrestling with the same issues I am. I’m looking forward to comparing notes and making new friends all without worrying if I have something stuck between my teeth. They’re still talking about the piece of ham I “wore” at last year’s holiday party, but that’s a story for another day.

I’m also going to take a few minutes to check out the virtual booths. There is some great  information to be found on technologies that can help me manage timesheets, HR and other daily reports from the field, as well as mobile solutions.

And before I get back to the conference I do want to remind you that you can follow all the latest event news on Twitter at #Sage100Live. Have fun, and don’t forget to floss.
