A new look, a new blog chapter

5/8/2017 at 2:03 pm by

Nearly five years ago, we launched this blog to create a conversation with Sage customers, potential customers, and the construction and real estate industry. Since then we have shared some of your stories, covered hot trends, and provided tips and advice on a variety of construction and real estate topics. Along the way, you’ve told us what you liked and didn’t like, and commented on what was written. We thank you for that feedback. Now we are entering a new chapter—one that we believe will provide even more value to you, our readers.

Soon you will notice a new look to our blog as we combine our construction and real estate commentary with a more expansive Sage business blog. This change provides even more opportunity to discuss the things you care about in your professional and business life.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • The same construction focus. As in the past, we will continue to provide you with blog posts specifically addressing the business issues you, as construction professionals, deal with every day.
  • Additional insights and advice on business in general, such as how to manage a multi-generational workforce, the counterintuitive truths about strategic planning, and upcoming changes to workforce labor laws.
  • A chance to see topics of interest to your customers. If you have customers in manufacturing or retail, for example, you can also check out blog posts specific to those industries to get the inside track on what’s important to your market.

Alas, Plumb Bob—our current blog’s namesake and occasional blog contributor—is retiring as part of this transition. But don’t fret. We will still post some light-hearted articles to give you a chuckle now and then.

As we say goodbye to the old and embrace the new, the main purpose of this blog hasn’t changed—we are listening and looking forward to having more conversations with you.
