Next week I’ll be heading to San Francisco with Sage vice president of marketing Barb Nelson (another one of our bloggers) to participate in the Edison Awards, an event honoring innovations and innovators. It will be two days of solid inspiration as we meet with creative, problem-solving individuals from a variety of industries. You can be sure I’ll be taking lots of notes to share with you in future blogs. (You can also follow the action as it happens: @SageConstruct and #edisonawards on Twitter.)
As I mentioned in my February 13 post, the Sage Job Ready program (which this blog is a part of) is a 2014 Edison Awards finalist for business optimization under the overall category of innovative services. As a finalist we are in good company. Here are just a few of my favorites that will also be honored at the Edison Awards event:
- Levi’s for finding a way to use 96% less water when making jeans
- Paint Handy for taking the spill out of painting
- Kohler for bringing music into the shower
- LIFX for its multi-color, energy efficient LED light bulb controlled with your smart phone
- Motorola Solutions for its headset computer
You can see why we are excited to have our Sage Job Ready program included among the list of finalist. And we hope the practical information we provide will not only help you tackle key business problems but inspire your own innovation.
