Bringing us together this Thanksgiving

11/23/2016 at 10:02 am by

Howdy web wanderers. Phew! I don’t know about you, but politics have just about broken my bandwidth. So, I say It’s time for a reboot.

The White House? Only one house matters now – Grandma’s.

Cabinet choices? Make mine the kitchen.

Red states or blue states? They’re all home states this week, where we’ll gather with family and friends to debate the tastiest of issues – dark meat or white, mashed potatoes or candied yams?

And, if amid all the laugher and love a difference of opinion should arise, we’ll turn to the best speaker of the house there ever could be – grandpa, who will build consensus with stories made better only by their re-telling year after year.

In all seriousness folks, these have been challenging times. But as we come to the table to celebrate Thanksgiving, remember this. The only issues that can divide us, are the ones we choose to let do so. May you be safe in your travels and have a wonderful holiday.
